Music Tuition

“Teach you to play, put you in a band, put you on a stage.”

The short, 3 step catchphrase that is often used to sum up what we do here at Loud ‘n’ Proud is quick and easy to remember, but is extremely deceiving. It vastly underestimates the amount of dedication and care we put into each of our pupils during their time with us, and the vast  amount of work that happens behind the scenes organising shows and events, coordinating rehearsals, and working with our talented instructors to make sure we provide the very best service to our students, and the very best of entertainment to our supporters and audiences.

Teach you to play…

The foundation of what we do is providing opportunities for young people to learn to play musical instruments. Our talented and experienced instructors are there with our pupils every step of the way, developing custom, tailored learning programs perfectly suited to each individual pupil. Regular practice, good habits and a focus on the fundamental skills are our cornerstones, and we have been hugely successful over the years at developing talented, capable musicians, many of whom now make their living as professional players on tour in countries all over the world.

Put you in a band…

Learning to play an instrument on your own is a fantastic hobby to have and will provide years of enjoyment and a wealth of skills and experience. However, the fun really begins when you play with other musicians. Either by letting the pupils organically form bands with their friends, or by matching them up with other pupils of similar age and experience, we can introduce our pupils to a whole other set of skills and learning opportunities. Teamwork, commitment and responsibility are all developed as each pupil learns to work together in the band, and our pupils have the chance to explore their creativity working on improvisation and song writing as well as their actual performance.

Put you on a stage…

Once our pupils are ready, we are able to provide a wide range of opportunities for them to showcase their skills with live performances. Developing their self confidence and team spirit is key here, and in addition to simply just being really good fun, the transferable skills developed and the friendships formed performing on stage will stand our pupils in good stead no matter what route their life takes.
